Recently you may have seen an announcement about a new board. This announcement was quite a bit premature.

Results have not been certified that all state and bylaw criteria have been met by these individuals. Until this can be established, we will not be transitioning offices or records. Before submitting confidential information or funds to any individuals. We must certify they have the legal right to possess them. This is part of our due diligence and we take that very seriously.

UPDATE: The “new” board has taken over the bank account without warning or consent. Apparently they could not wait until they were deemed legitimate or prove to you, the people, that they had any right to those funds. Why could they not wait until September 14th to take possession? They took possession on August 1st, 2025. At that time there was over 11,000.00 in Checking and over 2550.00 in the building fund. They also filed a change of address to have all mail forwarded to the PO box they have rented. We have never had anything stolen from the HOA mailbox. Whose paying for the new PO box? And why move our mail receptacle out of the neighborhood? Didn’t we vote to have our mailbox placed there? Also, they are changing the bylaws? Did you vote for that? I didn’t.

We are calling a special meeting because we have been contacted by many people asking if June 10th, 2025 was a true and legal election. Hugo nor Chris were notified nor present at the time of the election in question They cannot verify the election was legal.. So, we are taking this to you the people. We are going to hold a special meeting. Open, honest, transparent. For you to hear the facts. Then there will be no confusion or hearsay about the results. It will be transparent. All homeowners and residents are invited.

The agenda for the special meeting: To determine If any of the special meeting criteria per our bylaws was not met, or the vote was not held within bylaw regulations on June 10, 2025. . Should any of the bylaw criteria not have been followed or the board in question not appear, the election held on June 10, 2025 will be deemed illegal and we will immediately call for a proper election of all officers. If it is deemed a legitimate election we will hold a vote to ask you the people if you want to remove the board immediately and nominate and vote for a new board. This meeting will be held where all our elections are held, at the park. Sunday, September 14 at 3:00pm. This date and time was chosen to hopefully optimize attendance. We want the people to have a voice and for things to be done properly and fairly. If you are not eligible to vote, your voice will still be heard and you will have confidence that a properly elected Board is representing you. If you would like to verify you are eligible to vote, please, contact Chris.

This will be a calm, civil meeting like the ones we participated in for the eight years prior to the drama of the last two years. Drama will not be tolerated. Legal action will be taken if necessary. This meeting will be audio and video taped. After the notes have been transcribed and if the recordings serve no other intent and purpose, they will be deleted.

The “new” board may hire a police escort as they have done prior to this(hopefully not using HOA funds to pay for their personal protection). Please do not let a police presence intimidate you into not attending.

We are not doing this to retain our offices. As we stated, all offices will be open for the election. We have enjoyed working with you, and had many exciting plans we hoped to implement in the future, but we will step down if that is what the people choose. We know we had room for improvement. Illegal

Taping items on mailboxes is illegal and can result in severe penalties. This is because every component of a mailbox is considered the domain of the USPS, and placing any type of mail in a mail box without official postage is a federal offense with tines of up to $5,000 per occurrence for individuals and $10,000 per occurrence for organizations.A Spanish version of this newsletter will be available on Bostwood.com.
